Application Of SNMP On The Campus Network Management

With the development of computer network, it becomes more and more important in people's daily life, from the information-brosing to internet shopping, under this background, the manage system of computer network comes out,with the increment of the scope of computer network, the complexity of network increasing, how to contribute an efficient network management system becomes an important research direction.The essence of network management system is to manage and monitor the existing computer network, elaborating the highest power of computer network, series of protocols used in the widely used IPV4 network, SNMP is the universal standard of network management system, this paper is under the background of swupl campus network, on the base of SNMP protocol ,analyzing the network management system and discussing the function of SNMP in realizing the manage system.First, this paper introduces the corresponding concept and model of network management, describes the C/S work modle and combines the reality of swupl, indicates the urgent need of swupl of network management system.Second, this paper analyzes the situation of TCP/IP,introduce the two universal network manage system protocol, then puts an emphasis on SNMP, listing the construction ,work principle and application model of SNMP.At the last, on the base of backbone of swupl, the paper designs and realizes the function modules of the network management system, analyzing the date that need in the modules, in the background of windows operation system, combining SNMP and network programming technology to analyze the important parts of the system and realizing parts of the system function , and well grounds the future research work in this field.
