With the development of computer networks rapidly, the administrative task of computer networks has become more and more complex.Network management is one of the most important fields in computer network research now.TCP/IP protocol family is the most widely used computer network protocol family in the world.Recommended by IAB(Internet Activities Board),SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol) is a standard management protocol for TCP/IP-based networks. The paper describes the realization theory and the technology method of the network management system of based SNMP in detail;analyses the basis theory and the architecture of the SNMP network management system in detail; describes SNMP protocols and how to work the SNMP protocols and the MIB of the SNMP.Making use of Microsoft Visual C++ exploitation tool and C++ language and Winsnmp exploitation packs realizes the network management system. The network management system realized the function of the network topology management, the performance management and the ting management. The network topology management module can display dynamically the network topology, can change and add and delete the network equipment making use of the graphical interface to ensure the accuracy of the network topological discovery. The performance management module realized the function of detailed and contrastive analysis by graphical interface to increase the efficiency of the network management system. The thing management module can handle the basis thing and performance analysis event by graphical interface, and the user can monitor and can control real-timely the network status to increase the efficiency of the network management system.
