Modeling And The Process Management Of Product Data In PLM

PLM(Product Lifecycle Management) is applied inside the enterprise or between the enterprises with cooperation, which supports both the creation and the management of product lifecycle information. The distribution and application of the information are supported by it, too. The human resource, flow, application system and information concerned the product could be integrated through PLM. This paper is based on the development and implementation of PLM system which was applied successfully in the power equipment enterprise. The modeling of the product data and the realization of the status-change of product data in the process management are studied deeply in this paper.firstly, the modeling of product data in PLM is discussed and created. The conception of product data sort is analyzed, and a kind of product data model is created by adopting Object-Oriented technology and ORM technology. The hiberarchy of the model is the following: the part-structure model, the product-model structure, the case-hardened product structure model, respectively.Based on the product data model, the process management of the PLM is deeply discussed from the aspect of the work-flow integrated with engineering change management. The basic principle of work-flow system in PLM is analyzed and the system model of the process management is stated. And the visual modeling of work-flow is realized, the structure of Agent work-flow system based on Web in the process management is created with applying Agent to the work-flow system successfully.On the basis of analyzing the realization of the engineering change management, How to control and manage the status change about the product data in the process management of PLM is brought forward. The database structure of the record about the engineering change is created and the organization modality in the engineering change note of the product data according with the structure model is stated, and the engineering change note integrating with the changed object is realized.Finally, the research is applied to the project development of CAD department of Huazhong University of Science & Technology. The PLM system with Smart Client, which is based on multi-lay software framework and Web service on .NET platform is developed and the implementation of three large modules including the product data modeling structure, the work-flow child system and the engineering change management are displayed.
