For managing all kinds of products that enterprises produce, need use product data management (PDM) system. Product data management system is a system, which can manage all the information related with the products and can control the design process related with the products.According to the investigation for Shanghai bell Co. LTD's product data management system which is the second customization development on eMatrix of Dassault company, including Engineering Change management, Product Config management, Workflow management, Document management, Access management. After design and implement of these functions, it can enhance the ability of new product's investigate and produce, It's useful for the management and share knowledge of developer's.The main contributions are as follows: First of all, this paper introduces the current research status of product data management at home and abroad, expands on the product data management relevant theories. Then, does research theories of eMatrix, analyzes the rules of data modeling and analyzes in great detail the advantage of eMatrix application in product data management, do case studies in the light of actual conditions and gives the architecture of product data management .Analyzes the core functions of Engineering Change management and Product Config management. This thesis Concrete introduce the two functions from the customer's demand to the data modeling, from data modeling to the finally realize. At present, the relization of this paper has ben applied in product data management system of enterprise, and run well.
