| With the development of manufacturing industry,companies are now emphasizing more on digitalization and smart manufacturing.Company C’s mobile department is facing fierce competition from the market,which requires its actions to achieve lower costs and higher efficiency based on the trends,while fulfilling customers’ various expectations.It means more efforts should be put on the optimization of process management,in addition to the product itself.This thesis is focused on the optimization for BOM(Bill of Material)data management of Company C.There are several business modes coexisting in company C.This thesis is mainly on the EMS(Electronic Manufacturing Services)mode,trying to study the digitalization on BOM data management,including BOM creating,transforming,and updating in system,as well as the related engineering change process optimization.It also studies the PLM(Product Lifecycle Management)and ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning)system to help the digitalization process,especially on enhancing the efficiency and accuracies of the data management.To find the requirements of the optimization,the thesis starts with collecting pain points by investigation and analyzing the root cause for the problems.After that,several solutions are made based on the demands and current resources.And the final solution comes from the comparison between them on function fulfillments,implementation difficulties and workload.Furthermore,details like concrete approaches and measures of the solution partly draw from other modes’ experience,based on the features of the chosen system.The performance of the related functions before and after is the key measurement to embodying the implementation effect,which help evaluate the optimization project.The study boosts the thorough digitalization and automation,and paves the way to smart manufacturing for company C.It also provides many good experiences for other business improvements in company C. |
