The organization of software development in bank now is facing more and more pressure as the business of bank strongly develops after entering the twenty-one century. Under the huge pressure, the organization of software development in bank actively explores, enduringly carries out to find a way of upgrading its own the capability of the software development. CMMI is brought forward by the Software Engineering institution of Carnegie Mellon University and is generally accepted by the software engineering community. The organization of software development uses it to continuously improve its capability of software development and the quality of the system the organization has developed.The thesis researches the application of the CMMI in the organization of software development in bank. The main content of the thesis is the next:In the chapter 1, the thesis analyzes the situation of the research home and abroad. In the chapter 2, there is a discussion of the architecture of the CMMI and its presentation. In the chapter 3, while focusing the main problem of the organization of software development in bank: being shorting of unified model of project management, and acknowledging the need of an effective and extensible project management system, the thesis first describes the process of implementing CMMI,then proposed the four principles that must be complied in the implementing process of the CMMI in the some organization of software development in CCB, and the strategy of three stage implementing process according to the grading implementing thinks of CMMI. The thesis also describes the organizational structure and practice of implementing CMMI in details. In the chapter 4, according to the CMMI model, the thesis constructs a standard project process system. The standard project process system has a five-layers structure: the system policy, the core and supportive processes, tasks, steps, the guidelines, the checklists and the templates etc. In this thesis there is also a systemic describe to the standard project process about the policy, the core and supportive process ,tasks in details by text and graphs to make people understand easily. In the chapter 5, based on the standard project process, there is a presentation of the organization structure and the role responsibility to make sure that the operation of the standard project process is ok. In the mean while, in order to solving the problem of defining, inquiring and using the standard project process, the thesis proposes to use the EPF tool to manage the standard project process. After that, the tailoring of the standard project process, the quality audit of the standard project process, the continuous improvement of the standard project process is also discussed in details. In the chapter 6, In order to appraise the effect of implementing the standard project process, the thesis is used a method called KPI. By defining the KPI on the progress, quality and cost, and continuous measuring, the thesis gets a stable foundation to analyze. When by analyzing the condition of these KPIs before and after the implementing the standard project process, the thesis appraises the effect of implementing. At last, there is a conclusion of the thesis.
