Research Of The Network Fault Detection Based On Mobile Agent

With the rapid development of information technology, computer network has become an essential infrastructure in people's life. At the same time, size and complexity of the network increase explosively. This situation makes the traditional way of network fault detection relying on SNMP since the single function, low-level efficiency in trouble. It becomes the focus of the researchers attention that how to assure the network to work fleetly, safely and stably. In this thesis, we introduce the mobile agent to fault detection field and research it.The primary researches and the achievements of this thesis include:(1) A network fault detection system model based on mobile agent has been raised. The function of the component and the working principle are minutely illuminated.(2) The network flow contrast between the network fault detection system based on SNMP and mobile agent is researched in theoretical analysis and experimental test. Compared to the SNMP model, the network fault management system based on mobile agent can manage the network more efficient and real-time, especially in the Large-scale network .
