Design And Implementation Of Web-Based SNMP Network Management System

With the rapid development of computer network technology,network has been widely used in every aspect of life.The campus network,as a kind of network with large-scale users and complex network structure,has attracted much attention because of the complexity of users,irregular access behavior and some malicious attacks.There are problems exist in the traditional network management system,such as poor flexibility,redundancy of function,difficulty in upgrading,high cost,and inability to meet the changing needs.This dissertation studies the design and implementation of Web-based SNMP network management system based on the situation of the campus network of Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University.Web-based SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol)network management system,by combining the Web technology and SNMP,is able to remotely manage the network via Web browser anytime and anywhere,without being affected by the client system,thus making the network management simpler,more direct and efficient.The dissertation discusses the SNMP network management structure model and SNMP-supported network management operations,and analyzes the implementation method of using SNMP4 J open source package to operate on the Management Information Base of network equipment.Combining with the network topology and network application status of Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University,the dissertation analyzes the functional module requirements of campus network management system,research and implement the Management Information Base access,device and port management,network status monitor,Trap alarm and query ARP table based on SNMP network management system.The final part of the dissertation focuses on the deployment and testing the system.The results show that the main functions of the system,such as device management,port management,network status monitoring and ARP table query,run normally without making any impact on the regular service of campus network,and improve the efficiency of campus network management.
