The Design And Realization Of Management Information Model Based On Simple Network Management Protocol

Telecom network is composed by three-part functions, which are user, control and management. And the control function is the most important section with the running computer network and telecom communication network. It can increase furthest the network acquirement; enhance the network utilization factor, network performance and network service quality. It can produce a direct economic performance for the customer finally. For making Dadang Telecom Technology Company's network management product can be better to support the computer network communication, and making with better research development basing on the SNMP of the network management, they study out one project of the development on the SNMP network management system with ATM equipments at Datang GoHigh Company. This project is completed successfully in the 11-2004. The thesis select theme combined this project, and the development production has already got the elementary application with the network management product of ATM exchange equipments in the Datang GoHigh Company. It provide the test instrumentality which try out need for test environment by product software. And it operates certain and actual function on the network management research side of the telecom trade.The article described the constitutions, function, the architectures of NMS and the position of NMS protocol. It presents and discusses the development of SNMP protocol from version 1 to 3, and also analyses the system structure, element, and message form, protocol operation of SNMP, and the excellence and disadvantage in the actual applications.Based on the research of SNMP version 2, the article designs and implements the SNMP network management information model using the popular Agent++ technology and C++ programming. This model can perform basic fuction of ATM equipments. It consists of read and configuration for all kinds of variables and dealing with abnormal condition, etc. It also establishes a computer emulation network and testing environment to validate. This progeny is applied to the ATM NMS production of DaTang GoHigh limited company. It provides the test instrument of production test environment. And it also manages information control in the network management center and among some network elements.At the end, the article puts forward to the next research direction of the forenamed model.
