Radar signal will be integrated optimization of the use of new technologies, new ways to design a modern radar signal generator, the rapid development of radar technology is inevitable. With the continuous development of electronic technology and progress, low-cost FPGA (field programmable gate array) to promote the use of FPGA devices to achieve radar random signal generator to improve the performance of the radar is of great significance.On the basis of the radar signal theory, the project based on further study of radar digital waveform generator coding the structure of the program.In the scheme the preset counters and shift register arrays are employed. By means of the control of the microprocessor, the coded-pulse wave with random combination can be formed.The coding waveform generator can be changed arbitrarily: the coding width of waveform, the repeated cycle and the number of coding bit.The hardware realization of design is using Altera's cyclone ii FPGA family of devices.In the development process, the verilog-based modularization and IP core based design using Quartusâ…ˇand Modelsim SE simulation tool for the implementation of simulation and timing verification. Though the design of module,some waveform transform circuit has been studied.By means of exploring the integration method, the generated coded-pulse wave can be changed into many kinds of waveforms.
