The technologies of quardrature sampling and pulse compression are often used in front end processing of radar signal. After quardrature sampling, complex signal quadrature can be attained, and then instantaneous amplitude, phase and frequency are received conveniently. After pulse compression technology, high resolving power can be realized with large time-width and band-width signal. The conflict between detect ability and resolving power of radar is resolved very well.The rules and methods of FIR filter design are analysized, and several normal design methods of quadrature sampling filter are discussed. Two kinds of partial pulse compression are studied. One is based on full weight, and the other is based on partial weight. Its influence on the compression result is discussed; finally, the realistic sense of partial pulse compression is given. Aiming at its own characteristic and the wave after pulse compression, a new method for velocity measurement based on chirp-up and chirp-down signal is presented.
