Telecom management network is an independent network which logically separate to telecom network. In order to control and operate telecom network, telecom management network should communicate with telecom network via a standard interface which includes communicational protocol and information model. The functions of telecom management network include fault analysis, fault locating and the performance analysis in the whole network area which should realized by a neiwork management workstation.ITU-T gives telecom network management standard called TMN. TMN defines management functions, management services, informational architecture, physical architecture and interfaces of TMN. Network managmengt system is designed based on TMN.Transmission management network is a specific definition network, and is subnet of telecom management network which is as same as TMN in the structur.In this paper, a design scheme for integrated management network which based on a defense backbone transmission network is presented. J2EE platform and MML interface is uesed to realized the scheme. And the alarm collection module design is implemented by object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) method.Because of high reliability, survivability, and other special requirements of defense backbone transmission integrated management network, a three steps stragey is used in this paper. Information collection, intelligence estimation and automatic configuration is used to realize the fault management, performance management and configuration management for defense backbone transmission network. The test is based on Huawei T2000 system. Result of test proof the feasibility of the software architecture by inspect alarm collection function, alarm storage function, alarm statistics function, alarm shield function, alarm show function and alarm color set function.The network management system designed in this paper has the advantages of low-cost, powerful functionality and high reliability.
