With the development of ultrasonic detection theory and modern IC technology, the ultrasonic detection method has been used widely and developed rapidly. Ultrasonic detection method has many advantages such as fast detection, accurate flaw orientation, no pollution and low cost.In this paper, a new solution to the problems existed in current ultrasonic detection, is proposed based on comprehensive references and thorough analysis. DSP centered digital signal processing technique is applied in the ultrasonic detector. It will have many advantages contrast to the ole ones: the data can be recorded to the computer or other memory (SD card is used in this paper) for future analyse, can realize more complicated function and more precision detection during the detecting, use TFT LCD and key/optical encoder to form a powerful man-machine interaction system, the content display is more abundant and the user interface is more friendly.First, the theory and technology of ultrasonic detection is detail studied and an overall design scheme of ultrasonic detection system based on DSP is proposed in this paper, lading the foundation of the hardware and software design. Then it is detail describing the overall hardware design of ultrasonic detection system, The system is made up of analog circuit and digital circuit, The function of analog circuit is to emit and receive the ultrasonic, adjust the received signal; the function of digital circuit is to collect and process the received signal and display waveform. Based on hardware design and modular design ideas, the system software module is developed, It is including DSP system program design, various waveform processing algorithm, display algorithm, SD file system, USB programming and FLASH programming. Finally, this paper summarizes the achievements of current research, points out some deficiency and the direction needs to grasp in further research.The key technology to the design in this paper : using C language to program; some involved technologies such as high speed DSP, FPGA processors, high speed AD sampling, USB serial communication, SD file system and so on. Function, stability and reliability are final goals of the system design. On the premise of relizing the basic function, the system tries to optimize the design of the hardware and software.The hardware design uses the modular method to design, using the latest IC chips as far as possible, simplify and increase the reliability of the circuit. Modular software design and coding is conducive to the maintenance and upgrading in the future.
