| This dissertation firstly introduces the development of OFDM transmission technology and the state-of-the-art studies on OFDM, the basic principle and mathematic model of OFDM are also involved. Then the design of OFDM system is discussed, including the selection of DSP and FPGA in terms of the aspect of implementation. The principle and implementation of each part in the system is also related respectively. Finally, a jointly iterative maximum-likelihood estimation and detection method is proposed for space-time coded OFDM system, simulation results show that by utilizing few pilots, the proposed method can improve system performance significantly.
