Design And Inverstigation Of TD-SCDMA/GSM Dual Mode Terminal Test System

TD-SCDMA is the 3rd generation mobile telecommunication standard of which China has independent intellectual property rights. The research and development of TD-SCDMA terminal is a key issur to TD-SCDMA industrialization. Without a stable and reliable terminal test system, communication requirement of users can not be satisfied well, and communication quality of users can not be quaranted. The author took part in the research and building up of TD-SCDMA and GSM terminal RF conformance test system. As the leader of the team, author completely participated in the building up of the system including protocol research, test method discussion, hardware integration, and software design.This paper especially describes the design and investigation of TD-SCDMA and GSM dual mode terminal test system.The main contents of this paper are organized as below:(1) Introduces the developing background of the mobile telecommunication system, which especially discuss the technique development and future of TD-SCDMA and GSM terminal RF test system.(2) Summary of terminal tseting protocols, which describes the definition, test methods, test process and test requirments of the main transmitter and receiver parameters of TD-SCDMA test system.(3) Analyses the function desire of TD-SCDMA/GSM dual mode terminal test system, and gives a whole project of terminal test system based on virtual instrument, and then divides the system structure into two main parts: the hardware and the softwore, which are designed and realized. Then we optimize the swtiching process of dual mode system.(4) Reports the program modules of the transmitter parameters by virtual instrument software LabVIEW, and a software platform for simulation testing, which mainly discribes the meaning of test cases and detailed algorithms, and analses the testing results. Finally is the summary for the present work and planning for the further work..The content of the paper has been applied in the design and implementation of TD-SCDMA and GSM dual mode terminal test system. Up to now, the system has passed a lot of verification, and has been used in terminal manufactuers.
