The Research And Implementation Of Electronic Public Seal Management System

With the development of E-Commerce and E-Government, communication through network and digital documents exchange are replacing the traditional work style in office. As there are secure problems in network transmission, the technology of electronic signature used in digital documents are attracting more and more attention day by day. It is a hotspot that how to sign a digital document, especially under the electronic signatures law published.Taking the principle and function requirements of electronic public seals into account, this dissertation designs an electronic public seal management system which is under the Client/Server structure. The system is based on asymmetric encryption algorithm and VPN(Virtual Private Network). Subsequently, the paper illustrates the network framework and signature subsystem in detail.In the Client, the ActiveX control in Microsoft Word saves the signature. It also shows the visual information, including the signature status etc. The key technologies in the system, such as digital signature, VPN secure tunnel and OpenSSL encryption library, are expounded in the dissertation.The research focuses on the design and implementation of the client and server in the system. Based on the function requirements, it builds a secure and reliable client software module. The design of the server is divided from there subsystems: users & seals management subsystem, signing subsystem and signature data management subsystem. It includes data defined, interface implement and network connection. The thesis takes the demo software system, using the VPN provided by OpenVPN software, as an example to test and analyze the system.Some suggestions and prospects for further researches are put forward in the end. The progress made in this dissertation is valuable both in academic and practice.
