Research And Design Of The Electronic Seal

With the development and application of computer technology, an unprecedented change has been happened in the whole society therefore. The government departments expect to improve office efficiency through the application of computer technology, and enterprise expect to increase efficiency through the application of computer technology. Both of the demands, which is a major force has been promoting the development of computer technology.Traditional seal as a symbol of undeniable plays an important role in official business and corporate affair, which is an important manner to protect the authoritative of documents material. However, it needs to rely on paper-based media. With the rapid development of office automation, how to solve the contradiction between the traditional seal and paperless office and protect the legal effect and authority of the circulation of electronic documents has become the urgent need .so electronic seals have emerged as the times require.Currently, most of electronic seal scheme adoptes public key infrastructure to stamp on electronic official document. Electronic seal scheme has solved the issue of the lack of authority of electronic official document .At the same time, it has a higher security than the traditional seal.Nowadays, although several companies have put forward a series of Electronic Seal products, most of them need both specific environment and large cost. Through analyzing the real requirements, the author realizes that most users wish to edit the electronic documents and add the electronic seal on the Word software with low cost, which would make the electronic documents circulate with authority in a larger scale. The present electronic seal products could not satisfy these kinds of requirements. So after working over the uses' requirements, with the program platform of VC++ and VBA, integrating the knowledge of cryptology, public key infrastructure, seal numeric image, middleware, and ActiveX control, the author studies and develop this applied-widely electronic seal system which can combines seamlessly with Word software.The paper also proposes an architecture of electronic seal system, discusses the entire process of production, storage, distribution and use of electronic seal system Meanwhile, this paper probes into key technologies in the process of developing of electronic seal system.
