September 2005, a kind of new reality show of plastic surgery which emerged on TV screen.From the beginning to its popularity, the program was under dispute. The purpose of the program would on earth make the audiences know plastic surgery completely, liking its communicators claimed, or something else; at the same time, because plastic surgery is still the sensitive topic in China. Whether would the popularity of the program lead the society especially the youngsters to the deviation on aesthetic viewpoint? These are emphasis discussed in the article.In order to uncover the veil on the program of plastic surgery reality show, the article applies the theory that mass media conspire with consumerism in consumption society, And criticizes they produce desire consumption of female body. The essay hold tightly the case of the plastic surgery show, elaborates respectively from the following sides including why the media produce and broadcast the program in this time, how the media guide women's body consumption ,and what effects the program would bring to the women's status and the whole societal aesthetic concept. In the end, the issue presents the standpoint that the program disobeys Chinese ethics, conflicting with the character expectation that the media must instruct the public to set up the right value concept. The media, the government supervisor and the society should correct the deviation in time.
