Getting hot and switched of the axles is one of factors for grave accidents which endanger the safety of transportation by railroad. Railway carriage axle-temperature alarm is a kind of electrical equipment. It watches the axles'temperature circularly and gives out alarms when the temperature is unconventional to ensure that the train can run safely. This paper developed a new axle-temperature alarm test system which has full compatibility to all kinds of axle-temperature alarms with high autoimmunization and all-around test functions in order to cooperate with the periodical test request of the railway examine and repair department. At the same time we import the technology of realiability design during the course of system design for the sake of reducing the cost, cutting down servicing expense and enhancing system reliability.This paper establishes the test system's general design plan according to the consumer's request and technique index in relative railway standard. The test system makes C8051F020 microprocessor as the control center to execute the test of axle-temperature alarm's power, the precision of digital/analog axles'temperature, alarm temperature, the precision of CCS, the precision and insulated resistance of the temperature sensor automatically by communicating with industrial control PC. The software of microprocessor is made up by the C language. The software of industrial control PC is made up by the Visual C++ language, which is based on Windows 2000 OS. The software system use method of modularization to deposit, query, and print the test data, and also has a favorable interface as well.After the design plan of the test system has been confirmed, this paper applies AGREE method to distribute the reliability which is based on the reliability index put forward by the consumer. The distributeion starts from the upper level to the lower level until the component level of the test system. Based on the reliability distributed to the component, we begin to choose the models of the components. The chosen of the national components and import components refer to GJB-299 and MIL-217 respectively. The failure rates of the components are confirmed as well. The paper introduces the principle of GO method and the analysis course by an example. Meanwhile, this article researches the application of GO method in complicated repairable closed-loop system based on the theory of Markov processes. This paper deducts and validates the correctness of complicated complicated repairable closed-loop system. This research exploits the applicantion range of GO method, so it is the improvement and development to GO theory and arithmetic.This paper puts forward a modeling idea of the compositive chips which is based on the logical structure. It accomplishes modeling of TLP521-1, relay-driven chip ULN2803 and the analog switch chip DG508. At last, this paper forecasts the reliability of the test system module by module, and calculates the reliability index of the test system based on the results of the chosen of components. It proves that with the reliability design, the test system can completely meet the consumer's request about reliability.
