The bearings of railway locomotive produced heat in the process of driving due to friction, it is normal that has certain temperature increasing when the state of bearing technology is good. However, when the temperature increasing is abnormal, it makes out that the application condition of bearing deteriorated, lubrication condition worse, which causes bearing parts distort, working gap changed and friction and wear out is aggravated, even result in hot axle cut and hot box accident, if we do not find and manage it in time, the serious driving accident will be caused, therefore, developing the train axle temperature detecting alarm system with stability performance and excellent for high speed train is important to the safety of driving.In this paper, the necessity of axle temperature detection is introduced at first, the current situation of train axle temperature detection technology in home and abroad is discussed, and the design scheme of axle temperature detection system is presented based on the system performance index, provided by Zhuzhou Times Electric limited company, at the same time scheme advantages is determined, then data collection, processed, display, memory and alarm module of axle temperature detection system is designed, by hardware simulation software Proteus7.1 and virtual serial port software VSPD XP5.1, the simulation model is built, we obtained very stable operation effect, accordingly the feasibility of this scheme is demonstrated, provided the testing basis for the practical system in the next step. In laboratory research process, using data fitting method, the temperature drift in every temperature interval of digital temperature sensor DS18B20 is modified, system temperature detecting accuracy is improved further.After system hardware built, host computer software is developed by using Visual Basic6.0, realized system joint adjusted, temperature state of locomotive bearing is displayed on line, meanwhile temperature data is introduced into ground analysis software, and history files of locomotive bearing data is built, scientific basis is provided for early fault recognized by technician.
