The emerging broadband wireless access technology of ultra wide-band (UWB) high-speed indoor wireless communication has attracted worldwide attention. With the merits of high data rate, low system power cost and multi-path immunity, compared with general narrow band wireless communication systems. However, the detection of feeble UWB signals is difficult. In this paper, generating and processing of PPM-UWB Signals for Ultra Wideband Communications and the design of Channel convolution encode and decode ,interleaver and deinterleaver, frame encode and decode in the course of constructing frame in base-band circuit are mainly studied. Meanwhile, corresponding communication systems have been complemented and tested.Firstly, the basic concept and characteristic of UWB technology is introduced, And then the compositive structure of UWB communication systems are discussed. Based on the above information, the paper designs the circuit of PPM-UWB signal. Meanwhile, presents a novel, simple and realizable scheme of double-path integral detection model with upper-path serial acquisition and synchronization Which can be Agility controlled by the base-band circuit according to the characteristics of high-speed PPM-UWB signal and the multi-path model for indoor UWB channels, it realizes the ideal combination of base-band circuit and RF circuit by up-path controllable RF integrator And then, simplifies the design of UWB receiver and improves the performance of acquisition . By modeling, designing in VHDL, and down-loading the designed programs into a FPGA hardware, an ASIC for the base-band circuit of UWB communication is gained. Finally, By the research of the generating and the receiving methods of high data rate 100Mbps PPM-UWB signal, a UWB experiment for acquisition and synchronization in indoor short-haul environment and a experiment for the signal transfer and receive in the frame constructed of base-band circuit were implemented and tested, the results show that the methods presented in this paper are feasible.
