Study On The Value Of University Librarys' Reference Service And Its Problems' Countermeasures

As a core job of university librarys, reference service has a expanding space and a nice future under network environment. To exert its functions ,this paper discusses different actions from six aspects about value embodimenton the basis of former research production. This actions includes as a gist for managing and evaluating university research production, to educate users' information attainment , to answer users' questions, to instruct users' information navigation, to provide information service and professional service by knowledge librariers. And it puts forword some achivement about reference service in recent years. Firstly it focuses on knowledge service for university researchers. Secondly it pays attention to personalized library services. Thirdly it reinforces reference information's characteristic building. Lastly management mode adopts cooperative form. This paper also probes into reference service's developing course in theory. The author, with personal working experience and own diagnoses, by means of qualitative and quantitative analysis, theoretic and applied research, summarizes some problems of reference service and puts forword countermeasures from two aspects including management conception and actual working .The final goal is to advance university librarys' developing roundly.
