With the increasing influence of knowledge elements on the economy and culture of today's society,China has also been increasing its policy guidance and project support for knowledge services in the field of publishing,and as the concept of lifelong learning is deeply rooted,the willingness of the vast number of users to pay for knowledge services continues to increase.In addition,new information technology,intelligent hardware and so on,have spawned new knowledge service terminals and further enriched the knowledge service scenarios.Meanwhile,the university press has rich copyright of books,intellectual resources of author editors,academic resources of parent universities and so on to support its knowledge service work.So far,the prospect of university press to carry out knowledge service is promising.This paper analyzes the current situation and shortcomings of the knowledge service of our university press through the methods of literature analysis,case study and investigation,and put forward the development strategies of knowledge service to help university press better serve users.This paper analyzes knowledge service cases(from the perspective of managers)and user knowledge service experience(from the perspective of users)of university press,and points out that university press has certain innovation in carrying out knowledge service based on intellectual resources of authors,copyright resources,parent university academic resources,as well as intellectual resources of internal editors.First of all,this article expounds the concept and connotation of knowledge service of university press,and then discusses the opportunity for university press to carry out knowledge service from the perspectives of responding to social transformation and upgrading,users' desire for professional knowledge service,new technology to help development,knowledge resource reserve,etc.Secondly it based on the case analysis of professional knowledge service and educational comprehensive knowledge service of university press and the research of user experience to summarizes the development characteristics of knowledge service of university press.This part draw its conclusion that it is still in the primary stage,and sum up the shortcomings in its development.Finally,it is suggested that the university press should strengthen the construction of five aspects: from the aspects of improving content quality,enriching presentation forms,creating characteristic content and style to focus on knowledge service content construction;through attaching importance to user needs,enhancing interaction and feedback to deepen user management of knowledge services;from the perspective of cross-publishing cooperation,cross-industry cooperation to exploit multicultural cooperation of knowledge service;through the way of copyright income,membership income,Internet traffic monetizing to explore sustainable revenue generating mode of knowledge services;from the view of multiple publicity and service expansion to strength knowledge service promotion.
