| With the development and popularity of networks, the enterprise network management is more and more important and become a hotspot. WBEM (Web Based Enterprise Management) which was brought forward by Microsoft and several IT manufacturers in 1996 was widely supported. Then, WBEM was standardized by DMTF. WBEM provides a standardized mode for realizing a uniform network management.In this paper, we simply introduce several popular network management systems, analyze characters of the network management system based on WBEM, and point out the merits. After introducing the architecture of WBEM and CIM(Common Information Model) in detail, we intensively analyze WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation) which is the realization of WBEM and the extension of CIM by MICROSOFT. We assume the network management of the WINDOWS servers in the enterprise network environment. Lastly, we design and realize the WINDOWS Information Monitoring and Management System, and prove its validity in the enterprise network environment.The research and design for the network management based on WBEM is a useful experiment for the enterprise network management. It provides a feasible solution for the enterprise network management. In the next period, the network management is still a very important development direction. |
