The 21st century is a knowledge explosion century. With the rapid development of the Internet, traditional education has to be faced with more and more challenges in terms of learning method, resources; support etc., while e-learning is becoming the new favorite method for learners. It is necessary for educational researchers to study on how the learners can effectively utilize the Internet to improve there learning performance. As a potential technical and social environment, Web2.0 not only contributes to the management, organization, and sharing of learners'existing knowledge, but also promotes the creation of new knowledge. Knowledge management aims at the creation, utilization and sharing of the right knowledge by the right people in the right way and at the right time. Undergraduates are the important human resources for a country's development. It is significant for cultivating undergraduates'knowledge management abilities in the Web2.0 environment.This thesis consists of five chapters. Chapter 1 focuses on literature review. Chapter 2 analyzes the components of undergraduates'knowledge management abilities from multiple points of view, including the SECI model, personal knowledge management (PKM) and a general learning process. Based on the understanding of the characteristics of three typical applications of Web2.0 (including Blog, Wiki, and RSS), Chapter 3 explores the general characteristics and the knowledge management functions of Web2.0. Chapter 4 investigates the present status and existing problems of undergraduates'knowledge management abilities in the Web2.0 environment. Chapter 5 proposes relative strategies for the development of undergraduates'knowledge abilities in the Web2.0 environment from three dimensions, including universities'consideration, teachers'support, and undergraduates'individual efforts.
