As one of the most significant concepts of the Cognitive Psychology and Educational Psychology, the term of metacognition was initiated by US Psychologist Flavell at the beginning of 1970s. Meanwhile, the important component of metacognition - metacomprehension, plays a vital role in improving the student's ability of reading comprehension. The affluent knowledge, profound taste as well as the capable supervision of metacomprehension will directly enhance the development of the reading comprehension skill and the construction of the knowledge structure and vice versa. Therefore, the theory of metacognition and metacomprehension will not only enrich and expand the research of cognitive field along with the awareness of ourselves and our activities, but also have tremendous effect on inspiring and guiding the educational practice so as to promote the student's ability.Based on .NET Framework platform and Visual Studio.NET environment, the metacomprehension training and testing system (MTTS system, short for the metacomprehension training and testing system) was explored by adopting the C/S mode and object-oriented technology, Visual C#.NET development tools and Microsoft SQL Server Data Base Technology. Applying the modern education technology, this thesis illustrates the process of design, exploration and realization of this system with the guide of the theories of constructivism, tools of cognitive and removal of recognitive. First of all, the author briefly introduces the status quo of the research of metacomprehension in and abroad, the source of the task and the purpose and meaning of exploring the system while details the relevant theories and researching methods of metacognition, metacomprehension, reading metacomprehension supervision, constructivism, tools of cognitive and removal of recognitive, as well as the base of the system developing technology. Then, the author analyses the demand of the entire metacomprehension training and testing system and designs the function of it so as to establish the systematic structure. Finally, the author points out the realization process of the interface and code of the system in examples, which focus on the subsystems such as reading materials library management system, data analysis system. Meanwhile, the author presents the key technical questions existing in the MTTS system developing and designing process and provides the solutions. This introduced system is applicable to the school education where students could practice by setting the relevant parameters in accordance with their own demands or the teacher's assignments. This system can also be used by teachers to test students' metacomprehension level and characteristic and find out their problems in reading comprehension according to the training and testing results. It will be helpful for teachers to adjust their teaching method in time in order to improve the students' metacomprehension and cognition ability. Besides, the MTTS system is also applicable to the verification on metacomprehension hypothesis and its theories.
