Study On Archives Management Of Tang Dynasty

The Tang Dynasty was the prosperous time of the ancient archives management in our country, the archives management organizations had become a certain scale. The most important organizations of Tang Dynasty, zhongshu, menxia and shangshu, were the highest management organizations of documents and archives work. The drawing up, verification and execution of the documents were taken by these organizations. The Shangshu was also responsible for supervision and inspection of the documents and archives work in all national government's organizations and departments. The three organizations were equipped with the Jiali storehouse respectively, which were set up to take care of the Jiali archives specially. Shiguan was also an important organization to take care of the archives. In the local, there were lots of minor officials to take care of the archives or documents. The type ofarchives was more complete. There appeared the special personal file--Jiali. Thearchives management of the Tang Dynasty was already system, including the collecting system, storage system, appraisal system, statistics system, using system and so on. The Tang Dynasty had put many archives work into the national law, and had stipulated the illegal punishment system for archives and documents' work.The politics, economics and culture of the Tang Dynasty were highly developed, which promoted the archives management prosperity. And in turn, the development of archives management had also influenced the development of Tang Dynasty. This thesis will introduce the archives management of Tang Dynasty systematically, and at last analysis its influence to the Tang Dynasty. The Tang Dynasty was the important period of our ancient archives management work, which inherited the past and ushered in the future serving as a link between past and future. The Tang Dynasty's archives work developed on the basis of previous dynasty's archives work, at the same time, some initiation in archives management work of Tang Dynasty had tremendous influence to the descendant archives work. On the other hand, its archives management work also had shortcomings.
