Qian Jia era was an important period in development of Chinese history. The three textual critics Qian Da Xin Wang Ming Sheng and Zhao Yi were exponents in the era. Their works, Twenty Historical Records Check, Seventeen Historical Records Discussion and Reading Notes Twenty-two Historical Records were premised highly by the history. The three textual criticism inspected New Tang Book and Old Tang Book. They not only researched the document and historical facts of these official historical records, but also compared the good and bad of the two Tang Books. Their study was useful for us to research the two Tang Books, and the method of their scholarly research and the theory of study broadened our horizon.The paper falls naturally into four parts. Introduction, This part makes a brief review of the three textual critics and Two Tang Books.The first part makes a brief review of the study, which before the Qing Dynasty, the historians did not give an objective appraisal of the two Tang Books. Until The Qing Dynasty the historiographer recognized the volume of the Old Tang Books.The second part makes a discussion what the three historians inspected the two books. They inspect the two books from four aspects: the source of the content, the style of writing, the stylistic rules and the technique of writing.The third part elaborates the three historians how to inspect the content of the Two Tang Books.The fourth part constitutes the conclusion of the paper.
