Restoration Of The Costumes In Tang Dynasty—Based On The Mural Painting In Tomb Chamber

The costumes of the Tang Dynasty have always play an important role in the history of ancient Chinese costumes.Its rich research results and huge research group provide an endless source of motivation for the research and development of the costume history in the Tang Dynasty.Nowadays,experts in different fields hold different opinions on the study of costume history in the Tang Dynasty.It involves iconology,archeology,art,and etc,and it has reached a lot of conclusions and achievements.The purpose of this study is to further improve and enrich the Tang paternity dress in the field of the research and pay attention to the costumes and dresses of the Tang dynasty using the theories and methods of clothing and other relative disciplines such as garments,archeology and artistry,from the perspective of dress restoration,and to use the tomb murals as the main image Materials to analyze and finish.At the same time,the author hopes to explore the role of experimental archeology in the study of the history of costumes in the way of costume restoration so as to make it have certain theoretical and practical significance.In this study,the author uses the tomb maid costumes in the tomb murals as the main research object to restore production,which contains the comprehensive use of field investigation,images,objects,literature comparison,image analysis,experimental archeology,costume restoration and other research methods to the Tang Dynasty maid costumes.In the process of collecting and arranging the data from the earlier period,the maid costumes of the Tang Dynasty and thecorresponding burial murals were selected to classify and the the author chooses the second left maids of the east wall of the tomb chamber in the early Tang Dynasty as the main objects to recover.The style,structure and type of clothing were analyzed concretely to recover the effect of maid costume in the image objectively and the author concludes the clothing system of the maid dress in the early Tang Dynasty.The author explores the effects and significance which materials of images,experimental archeology research methods have on the history of ancient costumes and sorts out a more complete ancient clothing restoration of the general model for the researchers to provide new methods and new ideas.At the same time,the author also discusses the significance and value of image materials analysis and experimental archeology research on the study of ancient costume history.The conclusions drawn from the study are as follows:1.According to the image material for maid costume restoration,it involves three stages:"image analysis-recovery object analysis-costumes”,and each stage progressively,are indispensable.2.Tomb murals in the Tang Dynasty maid costumes used “Ru”(a short jacket),semi-arm,skirt,and Silk Cape as the main clothing,and the footwear style focused on the small head shoes and round head shoe,and the patterns appeared three kinds including pearl lines,floral patterns and winding patterns.Based on the characteristics and information of these costumes,the author draws the structural drawings and basic dimensions of the various parts of the costumes of the second maids in the east wall of the cemetery of Xincheng Princess Tomb.3.The general steps of research on maternity dress restoration in the Tang Dynasty are as follows: Firstly,to further understand the significance and value of rehabilitation research background of recovery objects and the object of restoration research is determined based on the information materials.Then the author defines the content of rehabilitation research,and carries out research and analysis on it,and draws conclusions and recovery results.4.Recovery is one of the most important means to find problems in apparel research.However,it is not that any restoration of apparel is of value to apparel research.The value of apparel restoration for the study of apparel history lies in that it can find the blank of the research,to make innovative reference and reference to the method of apparel history research,enrich the research ways,break the limitations of established ideas,and obtain a lot of clothing details and a complete recovery reports for the inheritance and popularization of traditional costumes which are previously not available.
