In the ages of the knowledge-based economy, the knowledge becomes the decisive resources of the economy growth and society to develop and the business enterprise grow up. It becomes a central thing that controlling and making use of the knowledge for information-based construction of business enterprise. The traditional business enterprise management style and the management principle have already been gradually unsuitable for a modern business enterprise; the knowledge management is the new management style that adapts knowledge-based economy ages. It is the important strategy that meets the modern challenge. Its emergence provides the management foundation for the business enterprise of knowledge-based economy ages. Office automation has developed to the third generation-the office automation based on the knowledge-based economy. The knowledge management and office automation ate linked very closely. The knowledge management is an advanced management style, can raise applied value of office automation. Office automation is a platform for knowledge management.This Paper discusses the technique of the office automation, workflow, workflow management and knowledge management. This Paper analyzes the knowledge model and puts the instance knowledge into the knowledge model, and also gives a knowledge management means based on rules.Workflow Technology is new subject in Computer Support Cooperative Work (CSCW) field, and it is the key technology to realize enterprise's business process automation. In traditional workflow system, all the parameters are defined by the system designers and the participants' initiative effects has been ignored. But different people did the same tasks using different methods. So there comes a new method to compose the knowledge base into the task. System designer and the participants are all the constitutor of the parameters. In the mean time, the knowledge base can be shared by the resemble tasks to share the tasks and to deal with the abnormal instances.Based upon theoretical research achievement, a flexible, universal and adaptive OA system is developed in the background of ESwing OA system's design and implementation.
