Wireless Sensor Network(WSN), which is a novel technology in recent years, also is a intelligent system which can According to the environmental autonomy to complete the assigned task. Because of its potential application in battlefield surveillance, home security, industrial fault diagnosis and target tracking and other areas, WSN has caused the extensive attention of many governments and scholars. The dynamic coalition mechanism of the wireless sensor networks have become hot spots in the study.The data transmission which based on coalition consumes less energy than based on cluster. Also the target tracking based on dynamic coalition can flexible and effective and the total energy performance is well. In this context, this laboratory declared the Anhui Natural Science Foundation project " The Research On the Energy Effective Dynamic Coalition Mechanism of WSN " . The work in the paper root in the project.OPNET is a tool which has been widely used for network simulation and protocol analysis. It provides a comprehensive simulation environment for the modeling of the communication network and distributed system. It applies to some special network, especially wireless sensor networks. The layered modeling method can reflect the real situation of the network.The DN-ACO is a target tracking algorithm based on ant colony with dual-negative feedback, it can distribute the energy load among more nodes and then can avoid that partial nodes fail too early. It not only can guarantees the tracking accuracy, but also realizes energy-load balancing,The main work in this paper is to use OPNET software design a WSN dynamic coalition simulation platform. The variety applications based on coalition can use the platform. It has both academic and practical significance. The paper introduces the WSN dynamic coalition and OPNET at first, then it amply expatiate the concretely work as follows:1. Design the network , node and process model of WSN, at the same time integrate the dynamic coalition communication protocol. Provide a secondary development interface for the users. 2. Establish a basic network performance system to facilitate the performance evaluation of various algorithms.3. Realize DN-ACO target tracking algorithm in the simulation platform and verify the energy efficiency of the algorithm.
