Sensor deployment is the basic problem in Wireless Sensor Network(WSN),which is also made to cover the monitored area efficiently and the first step for sensor network initialization. The result of the deployment concerns the resource configuration of the network and the effect of environmental perception, information acquisition and transmission, which will also affects the quality of service offered by the network. After the completion of the sensor deployment, the next key point before the normal operation of the network is how to arrange the nodes together to work. This paper's research is just based on the two problems above.The main research contents and innovations in this dissertation are as follow:(1) Raise a scheme which takes both coverage and connectivity into consideration. In the research field of sensor deployment, the recent sensor deployment scheme which is based on the event-driven is the new highlight, which is predominated by the events of the network and aims to cover the events efficiently. Besides the sensor deployment embodies the density difference of the network. The proposed SOM(Self Organized Map) method has a high coverage ratio, but in some cases, some nodes are repelled outsides the events scope and can't cover the events. Besides it doesn't take the node connectivity into consideration. Based on this, This paper designs a scheme which make a higher ratio of coverage and connectivity. The experiments prove the efficiency of the method.(2)Design a network coalition structure generation method based on Discrete Particle Swarm Optimization. After the deployment, the design of the network topology is a key problem. The"coalition"is proved to be a more energy-effective topology structure than the"cluster". The generation of the coalition is key problem in this field. We use the Discrete Particle Swarm Optimization to solve the generation of the Coalition. The experiments prove the efficiency of the algorithm.This paper gives a initialization method of wireless sensor network through the work of two sides above.
