A Study On The Continuing Education Of The Professional Personnel Of Archives

The college education only is foundation stage that before the man starts work, not the termination。The archivists must keep on learning and continual renovation of the knowledge and the skill. Now, there are prominently problems in the construction of the team of archives professional technical: the archivists of part-time is almost, also most archivists studied non- archives, low record of formal schooling , aging of age ,outmoded knowledge and so on. Along with social and the computer technology development, it requests more and more high quality and the ability to archivists. Facing these problem, if we do not enhance the continuing education research, does not develop the continuing education to them, how to ensure the healthy development of the archives cause? How to satiate a harmonious society needs and development? In order to study this, the author consulted the relevant extensive document information, spent more than two months time on field investigations, investigation and analysis on the development of the continuing education of archivists about 47 provincial archival web sites in China. On the basis of these theories, the author have finally completed this research through generalized relevant research results and speaks out own new viewpoint.This article discuss this question from seven aspects as follows, the characteristic, target, goal, function and objective of the continuing education of archivists; perfecting laws, the management system , running a school system, and micro-management system; adopt and develop various modern teaching means and teaching methods; six measures of constructing the teaching material; analysis on the current situation of the construction of teaching staff; advise in the contents and methods of valuation of continuing education of archives; on the continuing education of archivists on archival websites .The main points and new ideas of the paper are micro-management system, teaching model, strengthening teachers' building of contingent, and evaluation of continuing education and development of continuing education by network. Now, about research on long-distance teaching model based on Internet is still in its starting stage, the paper first analysis advantage, shortcoming and the inner contradiction of this teaching model. The author think modern long-range education will be the main model of the continuing education of archivists. The paper raises the development strategy about teachers' construction, thought on teacher resources to realize resource sharing. This paper fist presents a series of fyi scheme, including establishment and application, principles, condition, source, policy, and organization, construction of teacher resources. At present, research on evaluation of continuing education in it's the blank stage. This paper puts forward that methods both quantitative and qualitative studies are conducted based on the practical investigation, the author makes a tentative discussion on the classification and evaluation on the continuing education of archivists in archival websites. Investigation and analysis on the development of the continuing education of archivists about 47provincial archival websites in China. Furthermore, we should set up the continuing education of archivists' sub- column in the archival websites, develop long-distance network education.
