Design And Implementation Of Web-Based Teacher Continuing Education System

With the development of information technology in modern society, the traditional continuing education methods for teachers of primary school, middle school and high school, such as face to face training, full-time training, are not suitable any more. The remote education, featured with wide coverage, high benefit, sharing of quality education resource, strong interactivity and the variety of forms, satisfies the requirement of large-scale, category and personalized training.The remote education makes up the insufficiency of traditional education, such as shortage of training teacher, contradiction of work and study, lack of training expenses, et al. It can effectively strengthen the evaluation, monitoring and management of the training process of continuing education. It plays an important role in carrying out large-scale training of teachers, enhancing the quality of teachers, improving the teaching ability of teachers, and promoting healthy development of education.Considering the development requirement of continuing education for school teachers in Zhaoqing city, this thesis has researched the status and requirement of the continuing education of the city and then proposed a web-based continuing education management system for school teachers. Taking use of the prevailing B/S software framework, Windows Server 2003 as operation system, ASP.NET as programming tool and application platform, SQL Server 2005 as database, and role-based anylasis for purpose of design, this system proposed on the thesis mainly have capabilities of teacher basic information management, information release, online training course, training management. Able to be compatible to those mainstream browsers, this system is featured with easy-application, high efficiency and high-level security, providing excellent background data management to make the post-management maintenance easier.
