Design And Development Of Network Course Based On SCORM

As the basis of education informatization, the construction of educational resources is the core of the construction of Network Education. As an important part of Network Education resources, network courses play an important role of Network Education. At present, network courses are mainly in two forms. One form of it is that the course is composed of static pages and related resources. But it can't track students'experience of learning, and it is difficult to achieve more complex teaching strategies and personalized learning. Another form of it is that network course is a complex study site. Although it can achieve some complex teaching activities and teaching strategies, the development of courses is inefficient. And it is difficult to achieve interoperability and sharing between different LMSs.Realizing deficiencies of network courses, developers attach importance to the development of network courses based on SCORM. However, some network courses based on SCORM are only simply packaged by XML language and described using Meta-data, which meet to operability and sharing between different LMSs, but which are lack of communication between the network course and LMS. Thus, network courses can't well embody SCORM spirit.In the face of problems of traditional network courses and network courses based on SCORM, after thorough analysis of SCORM and theories of related design and development of network courses, jobs of the research are as follows:1. Reference to Activity-Based Instructional Design Model and the theory of Learning Object, and in light of the actual development process, the process of design and development of the network course based on SCORM is summed up, taking Computer Base of University as an example in the paper.2."Basic knowledge of Operating System"of Computer Base of University is developed using Reload Editor and detailed steps are given, which provides a set of feasible and practical methods for network course based on SCORM.3. Network course based on SCORM"Basic Knowledge of Operating System"has passed Self-Test successfully. It is imported into Moodle, and is applied in practice. The features of the network course are as follows: (1) In the course of design and development of network course, object-oriented method is used. Thus the network course is reusable.(2) The network course accords with SCORM. Network course can be transplanted and shared between different Learning Management Systems, but is not dependent on a specific Learning Management Systems.(3) In the course of developing the network course, Data Model Elements of SCORM RTE are applicated. So it can track learners's experience and record learners's score.(4) Teaching strategy is merged into Network Course Development. And different teaching content is showed according to leaner's score.
