Timing system is a new technology accompanying with requirement of missile and spaceflight. With the development of modern weapons, navigation, communication and electric power, more and more engineering and scientific fields need timing unification. International popular IRIG-B code is used as time synchronization standard, which, is adopted in device of testing in shooting range, controlling, communication and weather.This thesis mainly deals with the theory and Practice of modern shooting range time system. We investigated some Pivotal technique about shooting range time system designed with Programmable logic device technique,which is referred to IRIG-B code time system. Details on the design of both hardware and software are given from the engineering aspect.The timing equipment can receive IRIG-B code signal from the B code station ,produce B code time information ,finish Synchronization with IRIG-B code from the station ,demodulate DC code, AC code of IRIG-B, and then transfer serial time to the type that user needs and also the synchronization pulse that keep in phase with the time. The timing equipment has the function to generate time and generate IRIG code, which is sent to base station of B code to adjust time. Generate local 1PPS signal by dividing standard frequency generated by the extern referent frequency or inner quartz shake; Generate standard synchronization time signals which are sent to all kinds of measuring terminals with the time synchronization to extern 1PPS signal or demodulated 1PPS signal,thereby, Synchronization of the whole measuring system comes true.
