Design And Implementation Of Web-Based Department Administration Information System For Occupation Institute

With the rapid development of the Internet, our society has already stepped into the net time; internet penetrates all the parts of our life and promotes the development of society and economy. Recently, higher technical and vocational education developed quickly in our country, the scale of the higher technical and vocational education institute is more and more large, the number of students increased quickly. There is a lot of information to be managed, and to be indexed efficiently, how to solve the problem became one of the focus of for these institute management. In this paper, a Department Management Information System (DMIS) is designed and implemented based on Web. In this system, the popular B/S structure is used as software framework, Windows Server 2000 is used as the net operation system, ASP is used for the programming language, SQL Server 2000 is used as backstage databases. The computer and management department of Xi'an Aeronautical Polytechnic Institute is used as paradigm to design a DMIS in this paper. After deeply analyze the working process of department, we propose a solution for this DMIS, The main content of this paper includes: 1.the techniques used for the management information system are introduced. 2.the main works include:①analyzing the work process of department, so that data flow chart of the teaching management, student management, asset management, research management and administration management are derived;②builting a data dictionary for all information of daily management;③analyzing the different operation need for department leader, teacher, teaching assistant, counselor, administration assistant and student;④according to the difference of the user, different operation interface is designed, this will help for keeping the data safety.⑤building a set of education quality evaluation system, according to the teacher's teaching, the students"learning, and the program setting;⑥designing a affair hinting system, which can display information for the corresponding user after his/her logging in.Technique feature of the proposed system includs: 1. it is easy for operation, different user, different operation interface, it is convenient. 2. It is easy for maintenance. The system use B/S framework, the development and maintenance of system can be done on the server, user can used system only by browser. 3, a planty of searching and indexing function are provided; 4, security and stabilization. The system is securite and stable by testing ID, checking pass order, setting popedom, background database SQL system is stable, safety and quick.This system received a good evaluation from user. It can improve the data management speed and quantity; realize partly the department management with net.
