As the internet has continuously evolved, its use on campuses has grown to such a scale that schools must merge with the tides of the times and use the available resources to allow students the opportunity to review their professors. This system needs to be transparent and democratic. It should be a useful and efficient outlet for the teachers'and students'communication. This method of Students'Review of Teachers (SROT) is growing in popularity around the world. However, the traditional teaching evaluation regards old methods, such as"symposiums"and"questionnaires"as the principle forms of review. These forms mainly adopt the artificial inquisition form where students fill in by hand statistical data. This form is difficult to regulate and hard to research. The statistics are nearly impossible to gather, it is neither transparent nor democratic, and it is not generally useful for causing any quality communication or real change. This thesis aims at the above-mentioned problem. The system is focused on 4 types of users: Students, teachers, departments, and management personnel. All users have their own user name and password. Each user has different rights in the program. For example, a student who gets into the system can look up the standard teacher review form and the"guide to the evaluation of teachers". Each corresponds to a semester and course set up to carry on SROT. For the teacher who gets into the system, the choice corresponds to a semester and a course. They can search and reply to a student and to the covariance and analysis reviews. For management personnel, the system can be used to search all the students, as opposed to the teachers who can only select their own students and not those from another class or department. The managing person holds the highest legal power, and can review the data to carry on backup and statistics analysis to the students. This system adopts a B/S structure and uses ASP as its development terrace. The WEB server uses Windows 2003 Server IIS6. MS SQL is chosen as a backup database. Able to carry out students'teacher reviews, the development of this system will have an aggressive push on the overall implement of SROT everywhere.
