With the development of computer science and technology database technology has more and more application in Internet, it provides more circumspect and human service for many users. SQL Server is an all-around database platform, which uses integrated business intelligent tool for enterprise data management. SQL Server databse engine provides more secure and reliable storge function for relative and structured data, and they can establish and manage application program of high useableness and performance. The traditional Client/Server (C/S) architecture of management information system has been changed as Browse/Server (B/S) mode. Management information system is a combination of organization theory, accounting, statistics, maths model and economicse. They are all opened in advanced software and hardware. MIS is not only regarded as a person - computer system which provides help for manager but also t as a society technology system. MIS is reviewed in the background of organization and society. The emphases of review is changed from society practice to science theory , from technique to people who use the technique and from system to interaction of MIS and organization and environment.The thesis analyses characteristics of Browse/Server architecture and researchs the interlinkage of web and database. It utilizes flexible ASP on developing programme where database management of SQL Server is combined with the fact of Dongshan section old cadre bureau. All those are used in designing the old cadre management service software system. The main contents and results are shown as follows:1. The common principle of windows 2000 server+IIS+Sql Sever is studied.2. The particularity, difficulty and emphasis of implement system areanalysed.3. The old cadre management service software is designed and developed which included the user subsystem and the manager subsytem which includes these function of logining, edition, browsing, adding, deleting etc.4. The technic problem such as application of form, framework, table;optimize of data query and security of system are analysed and resolved.5. The resulte are tested and analysed and the idea of improvement is proposaled...
