The Design And Implementation Of Computer Equipment Management System Based On B/S Structure

The management information system (Management Information Systems is called MIS) becomes more and more popular in the modern society where management and information is emphasized. MIS is a new discipline, spaning certain domains, for instance management science, systems science, operations research, statistics as well as computer science. On the base of these disciplines, a method of collecting and processing information forms, and then a compositive system which vertically and horizontally interweaves comes into being. The system uses computers which can provide information to perform the functions like running-supporting, management, analysis and decision-making. In the modern life, due to the rapid development and popularization of the computer techniques, in fact MIS has become the"computer management information system"used in all kinds of work.The system is developed as to the"computer equipment management system", and that is to say the system is used to manage the computer equipment for the room of computers with computers. It mainly manages and looks through all kinds of information, like the information of computers and other assistant equipment, the information of computers and other assistant equipment being put into the warehouse, the information of running of computers equipment and the information of users and administrators and so on, besides it can sort the equipment, and manage the system users and print the information that is browsed.The development language of the management system of the computer equipments is ASP and VB, and the system adopts three layers of structure of B/Ss, namely database server, application procedure server and head work station.The system uses Microsoft Windows 2000 Chinese versions as head system terraces; ASP(Active Server Page) as head development tool and SQL Server2000 as the database.Seeing the development of network and computer techniques now, the future of the"computer equipment management system"is the system based on the structure of B/S, namely browser, server, which is the improvement of the structure of C/S, so that it can improve the expansibility, security, Reusability of the system. The system using the structure of B/S has on limite of time and space, and it will be the development direction of the"computer equipment management system".
