Research For Application Of CIM XML In DTS

With the new development of power system, power automation technology become more popular, but it also has some problems. To reduce the cost of new system, protect the investment, supply the data communication between the power system, and apply the interoperability, IEC puts forward IEC61970 specification series.Based on the new software technology, the IEC61970 is very important for the power system and has a large prospect. To apply the IEC61970 in the power system, studying of the new result is very important. The CIM is an abstract model that represents all the major objects in an electric utility enterprise.This paper focuses on the common Information Model, analyses the structure of the CIM and makes a example. Then, it introduces the application of CIM in the power system data exchange, discusses the Resource Description Framework(RDF),and the mapping methods between the CIM and RDF, creates a text of CIM\XML. As a part of the project, this paper presents a new method of the exchange of CIM\XML, developes a CIM\XML based software platform, and apply the input\output of the CIM\XML in the oracle database. The feasibility and validity of the scheme are validated.Finally, this paper discusses the insufficient of the platform and summarizes all these works. Illustrating the detailed steps implement the CIM exchange.
