With the development of network, we are not only content how todisplay data, but how to interchange it,how to get more meaning queryfrom it and how to integrate it from platforms.  HTML as a Web language,which is designed to view data and not to express its meaning, has togive the way to XML.XML defined by W3C as recommended standard primarily copes with therapid development of network and overcomes the limitations of HTML.  Itis designed to express the format of data.  It has strong ability ofdescribing itself and good extensibility.  Now it has been applied toall kind of applications, including defining industry data standard,interchanging electronic data and integrating data.  Now, all therelated standard specifications of XML provide all-sides support todevelop applications.Based on XML technology and considering the requirement ofJobSeeking system on Internet, this thesis puts forward a model of XMLServer and analyses its working principle.  This model provides aunified logical view of XML data for applications.  All theapplications developed on it have the advantages of good extensibilityand are easy to integrate data.  At the end of this thesis, this modelis applied to JobSeeking system and implemented in Java.The achievements of this thesis are as following:1. It puts forward a model of XML Server.2. The model of XML Server is applied to JobSeeking system and isimplemented in Java.3. Try to work out data standard with XML in JobSeeking industry.
