In order to monitor the distributed, dynamic and self-governing resource in the grid environment. This paper analysis the task, difficult and usage of grid resource monitor, and research the GMA architecture and the component operator each other. In the base of analysis several typical grid resource monitor system, research the scaleable of grid system framework, research the monitor of isomerous and dynamic resource. Based on the design practice and functional requirement of grid monitoring system. Design an scalable grid resource monitoring system that is named GridRMS.The main work of this thesis as follows:Firstly, GMA and grid resource monitor system's function frames and basic model are deeply studied as well as the interactions among different sections, and how the grid resource monitor system works whose basis is GMA. Basic frames of all kinds of systems are analyzed including system's advantages and disadvantages.Secondly, to satisfy the special need of grid resource monitor systems, the extent of extension of framework of monitoring systems are researched, and how heterogeneous and dynamic resources be monitored is discussed. According to grid environment's feature, a scaleable monitor framework containing two layers arises, which could be useful for second grid and big grid resource monitoring. A hierarchical model is proposed which is based on the character of gird resources. Making use of a across platforms' portrait and dynamic refreshing service conquer the problem bringing up above.Thirdly, GridRMS, a scaleable gird resource monitoring, is raised and could accomplish its prototype to cater to the need of monitoring system's designing principles and function demands. The system emerged in this paper is based on GMA framework and designed in two layers, and a hierarchical model is proposed for all the resources in system. The trait of this paper is the development of resource agent and service module. The standard web service description is utilized as monitoring service criterion. Coupling among separate modules is decreased and system's managements rise by mutual invocation and cooperation among separate modules.At last, critical section of GridRMS carries out simulation, and the utility of GridRMS certifies by adding an integrating detector and consumers to the system.
