The Status Quo And Developing Strategies Of Economic News Report Of Party's Newspaper In Northwestern Reign

With the strength that our country having entered to the WTO and the carrying out of the Westward Movement, economic report receives greater attention, and some experts believe that newspaper on economy will take the place of newspaper on city travails and thus become the new growth point of media. At present, economic report is attached to a greater importance because of its competitive value. Under this circumstance, the CPC's newspaper, as the organ of CPC and Chinese people as well, should do the utmost to improve the economic news report, which not only contributes to building the public confidence and influence, but also works as a good way to compete with other newspapers. In order to win the competition, party's newspaper should find its strength and try to be different from other media. From the point of content, news in the economic field is no doubt a vital aspect that party's newspaper should work hard on. Apart from being true, important and timely, the economic news is supposed to be more authoritative, instructive, and practical. However, the economic news has left the reader the impression of dull, tedious and pedestrian for a rather long time, which seems to be very hard to raise the readers'interest. Therefore, how to make the party's newspaper keep pace with the time and create more readable, touching economic news has become a very necessary and urgent subject that requires studying. This paper spot-checked the party's newspapers of western provinces, specifically , Xinjiang daily,Gansu daily,Qinhai daily,Ningxia daily and Shanxi daily and further compare them with Xinhua daily, the party's newspaper of Jiangsu province, making systematical analyses on the following aspects : news design, news resources, timeliness, news content and style. Based on the statistics obtained from the analyses, this paper expatiates on the status quo and existing problems of the economic news of the party's paper in western reign, and more importantly, discusses the reasons that triggered these problems. In the end, the paper raises a series of suggestions and strategies for the party'paper to improve the report of economic news.
