Professional recognition for all professional people is very important and necessary. As long as practitioners agree with their work from their hearts, they will put the biggest energy and play a greater strength without any reservation. Since the implementation of the reform and opening policy, Chinese journalism made great progress. However, with media marketing, journalists were dubbed the "News migrant workers" because of great pressure, low wages and low social status. Some moral anomies also often appear in journalism. All these are directly associated with the professional recognition. In this study, the journalists in Gansu were taken as research object, their professional recognition status was analyzed deeply; on this base, the emergence reason of their professional recognition crisis was also analyzed. Finally, the corresponding countermeasures was proposed. This study is the empirical research of the case province, but this study also has certain reference roles for researches on professional recognition of journalists in other provinces of western less developed region in China.
