Human society has paid more attention to entertainment than ever before. Like water, air, entertainment communication has become one of the conditions of existence, has occupied the most leisure time of modern human. The intense media market competition, the delayed and imperfect of communication ethics and legal system make entertainment communication activities become increasingly debased, which seriously influence the media's image and credibility, lead the responsibilities of the media to be widely questioned and the mediocrity of audience aesthetic taste. Meanwhile, these put extremely bad impact on the construction of socialist spiritual civilization.Firstly, this paper summarizes Connotation, features, the reasons of establishment and development, main ethical issues and concentrates on the worst-hit area of: entertainment news on newspaper and entertainment television. Secondly, the paper discusses the construction of entertainment communication ethics, including basic ethical principles and specific ethical standards, ardently expects to provide enforceable codes of conduction and value selection criteria, find a way out of the current predicament. Finally, from the close relations between the Entertainment communication activities and overall ethical building of human being, the paper further explains the necessity and the ultimate goal of ethical construction in entertainment communication activities.
