Traditional PSTN/ISDN network, internet, mobile network etc, are improving and interworking, and the integration is surely the tendency.The networking technique development is basis of the market requirement of new service. On the tendency of integration, the most concerned thing is the method to provide the better, fresher, fitter service. Traditional services are no longer fit for the multimedia usage, such as voice, data, image etc. Thus we design and implement a new service platform, which separates the service logic and device function, and is a flexible, programmable, manageable.The thesis has analyzed the progress of integration network development, and the evolution of the service platform. And then the thesis focused on the design of the device utility and management function, such as the frame work, the interface of the logic layer and the interface of the device layer, the finite status machine, and the efficiency of the platform.
