With the development of IT and the promotion of education reform, it is a trend and demand for Chinese education to study the integration of IT and subject teaching. Due to the students′weak background and the features of C language, C language teaching in higher vocational education cannot achieve satisfactory results. Therefore, new teaching concept and method must be considered to make C language teaching more successful. In a word, exploring the integration of IT and C language teaching is to have a positive influence on C language teaching reform and development in Chinese higher vocational education.This thesis has established theoretical foundations of integration between IT and C language teaching in higher vocational education by applying document survey, interview, observation and case study, etc. To face the challenges in current C language teaching practice in higher vocational education, the thesis analyzes the possibility to integrate IT into C language teaching and the impact on higher vocational education, Based on many teaching case study, the thesis proposes three teaching models of integration between IT and C language teaching to guide the C language teaching practice in higher vocational education. It also analyzes and compares their features and summarizes their effectiveness in teaching practice. Meantime, the thesis also foresees the future research development in this field.The thesis is composed of 5 chapters. In chapter 1, the thesis analyzes the research background and present situation of the integration of IT and subjects, it also points out the importance of the integration in education reform. In chapter 2, the author defines the concepts of the integration between IT and physics teaching and proposes the theoretical foundation for the study. In Chapter 3, based on the analysis of the current situations and issues in higher vocational education, the thesis describes the possibility and the function of integration between IT and C language teaching. Chapter 4 is the core of this thesis. Based on teaching practice, the thesis summarizes three teaching models of integration between IT and physics teaching: teacher demonstration integration model, self-approaching model, and research learning model on website. The teaching case examples are described for each proposed model, which are approved of being very practical and effective in C language education for higher vocational college. Finally, the thesis gives a summation and reflection on the integration practice in order to guide the future integration operation of IT and C language course.
