This dissertation is based on the background of research of "feminine images from the media". From the social gender point of view, by collecting the reports from《People's Daily》regarding female gender since china has been established till now, the report analyzes the different feminine images at different time periods.In this dissertation, 570 newspaper samples have been collected from《People's Daily》, every 1st of March to 10th of March, from year 1949 to 2006. 1572 reports related to female have been chosen. They have been divided into different time ranges, and systematically input to SPSS software for data analysis.From the reports of《People's Daily》during the time of just accomplishing the socialism transformation, the main feminine images was a group of young female workers, who have struggled to free from feudal ideology both in thoughts and actions, positively starting to take parts into the society for politics, economics and culture development. During the time period of all-round socialism constructions, the main female image as city career women worked for complying with the varieties of revolutions. During the time of "Culture Revolution", those young aged women working like men are most represented. During the reform and opening-up period, young women work in different job sections, which represent independence and professions.In this report, the typical versions from different time periods have been chosen for case studies as well. Analysis has been carried out in 3 different levels, which includes surface structural analysis, inner meaning analysis and also analyses from the social gender point of view. It discusses what roles women have been taken, whether they take the traditional women's roles or tend to be varied, whether with the independent personality or to be the subordinations of men, whether they are presented as the important actors or the driving forces in the process of development.
