The research of Feminine and Media gets the combination of Feminism and media theory into focus. It includes four types chiefly: To study the women in media; To observe the female angles of media; To explore the fleshly narrative of feminine; To review the development of female media. Based on 3 female discourses appeared in Chinese media from 2003 to 2006, this dissertation tries to analyze feminism inclinations of some youthful literate feminine and intends to deepen the relationship between feminine and media.In the first part, the author surveys the backgrounds and contents in general, as well as the history and the current situations of this research, then makes a brief introduction of the theoretics on Feminism,postmodernism and mass media, etc.According to the different ways of representation, the author chooses 3 female discourses in media as analytical specimens: the fleshly discourse, the visual discourse, the fancy discourse. Firstly, the author uses Michel Foucault's theory--sex means power—to study the fleshly discourse. Secondly, the author probes into the visual discourse on the TV with the theory of Jacques Lacan and Media Affairs. Lastly, through literary imagination, the fancy discourse puts up"a room of our own"on the Internet, just like Virginia Woolf's viewpoints.In information age, youthful literate feminine live in the foreland of new thoughts and have many chances to keep touch with media. Some of them form strong self-awareness to shape female inclinations easily such as self-discovery, self-foundation, self-construction. They want to be the main body of gender in the pluralistic trend, which proves the Feminism of Simone de Beauvoir. As Neil Postman says we are in the times of entertainment, they look for freedom and happiness in the recreational activities. Furthermore, they get gender identity and have self-confidence within the ingroup. Internet is the best facility to boost up their gender assuredness.At length the author ponders the connections between feminine and media again in 3 facets: For one thing, when we judge feminine status,visualization or role in media, we should attach importance to the rouse and maturity of feminine self-consciousness. In the next place, Chinese government should reinforce the leading station of Marxism on women's ideas in media and media itself should enhance its self-discipline.
